The company, Chateau Ozhio, derives its name from the wine fields' location. It possesses a vineyard and wine cellar in Akhmeta, Kakheti, known for its exceptional microzone. The vineyard benefits from semi-damp soil, resulting in pure, sustainable, and eco-friendly grapes without artificial preservation. Additionally, Chateau Ozhio has its own qvevri, an earthware vessel for fermenting, storing, and aging traditional Georgian wine.
We harvest our grapes on first part of October. We harvest exclusively by hand and transport to our Marani in small boxes.
